Benti ਬੇਨਤੀ s is a Punjabi word meaning "a request", supplication, "prayer", "petition" or "application" - It is an Ardas or a humble request to the powerful Lord for assistance or help.

| ਕਰਉ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸਤਿਗਰ ਅਪਨੀ ॥ |
| Kara▫o benṯī saṯgur apunī. |
| I offer my prayer to the True Guru. |
| ਸਣੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਠਾਕਰਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਖਸਮਾਨਾ ਕਰਿ ਆਪਿ ॥ |
| Suṇī benṯī ṯẖĝkur merai kẖasmĝnĝ kar ĝp. |
| My Lord and Master has heard my prayer, and given me His protection. |
