Bassi Kalan (31°32`N, 75°55`E) is a village about 10Km from the city of Hoshiarpur in District Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India. Its population is about 5,000 people, mainly Jat Sikhs and (Brahmins, Valmikhis, and Harijans). Bassi Kalan neighbors Saido Patti, and the two are divided by a single street. The village has forts from the 18th Century and temples, giving it historic atmosphere. It's Postal code is 140412.
