Ekk.jpg or 1 or Ek or One is the first word of Guru Granth Sahib. One is the subject of Guru Granth Sahib. The whole Guru Granth Sahib tells the way to reach one. The Whole Guru Granth Sahib is praise of Ekk.jpg. It is part of Mool Mantar. Sikhs start their morning prayers with word One.

This One is riddle and ""Gura IK Deh Bujhayi Sabhna Jiyan ka IK data so mai Visar Na Jaayi"" And Gurbani explores this word one. One is called Nirankar and their are many others names which shows different qualities of Nirankar which includes Gopal(residing on earth), Ram(present in all), Allah(the one), Siv, Vaheguru(The Wonderful God), Murari, Gobind etc.

What is One?

1 (one) is a number, numeral, and the name of the glyph representing that number. It represents a single entity, the unit of counting or measurement. one is its own factorial, its own square, its own cube, and so on but our subject is to know about the One called God.

ਤੇਰਾ ਝਕ੝ ਨਾਮ੝ ਤਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ੝ ॥
Your Name alone, Lord, saves the world.

ਮਨ ਝਕ੝ ਨ ਚੇਤਸਿ ਮੂੜ ਮਨਾ ॥
In your mind, you do not remember the One Lord-you fool!

ਆਦਿ ਅਨੀਲ੝ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਅਨਾਹਤਿ ਜ੝ਗ੝ ਜ੝ਗ੝ ਝਕੋ ਵੇਸ੝ ॥੩੧॥
The Primal One, the Pure Light, without beginning, without end. Throughout all the ages, He is One and the Same. ||31||

ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਹਬ੝ ਝਕ੝ ਤੂ ਹੋਰਿ ਜੀਆ ਕੇਤੇ ਲੋਅ ॥੩॥
You are the One True Lord and Master of all the other beings, of so many worlds. ||3||

ਮੰਗਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੇਤੜੇ ਦਾਤਾ ਝਕੋ ਸੋਇ ॥
There are so many beggars, but He is the only Giver.

ਖਸਮ ਕੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਦਿਲਹਿ ਪਸਿੰਦੇ ਜਿਨੀ ਕਰਿ ਝਕ੝ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੩॥
The Grace of the Master is bestowed upon those who meditate on Him alone. They are pleasing to His Heart. ||3||
