Improvements to SikhiWiki
Khalsa Ji,
Many thanks for your positive suggestions - positive suggestions are welcomed but we are not interested in negativity. If you do not like contributions by other users please either try and improve them or submit something better to make your point. Negative comments don't produce any results apart from discouraging the contributor. We all work best when encouraged!
This site is the result of unpaid Sewa by many users - None of the regular contributor is paid - It is Nishkam Sewa in the best tradition of Sikhi.
We all have to work together to improve the site. Many thanks for caring about the "image" of this site and Gursikhi in general.
- Duplicity - if you find this please make a comment on the edit summary line and we will all have to work on this to improve it in the future.
- Redirection - same as above - if possible just add the redirection line <no wiki> #redirect {name of article}</no wiki>
- Searching - This is a function of the Wiki package - I don't think we
- Punjabi fonts - Please use unicode Gurmukhi - it work for the Hukamnama on the main page and I am sure it will work for other Gurmukhi text. Also see section - Help:Contents#Typing_in_Punjabi_and_Gurmukhi
I hope you have a wonderful time at Harimandir Sahib. Many thanks again for your positive comments. --Hari Singh 17:06, 12 February 2007 (MST)
Being Negative in life is of no help
Khalsa Ji
I am impressed by anyone who submits valuable articles to SikhiWiki. Provided the articles give useful information and increase our knowledge of Sikhi, our history and culture - I am very impressed. We all use other sites to gain knowledge and if we like ideas, I am sure most Sikhi sites would be honoured if we use their materials to spread the message of Sikhi here. Isn't that the whole point of these sites – to spread the Guru's message!
You know when Guru Nanak ji wrote Gurbani, he did not copyright the Bani – It was free for everyone – It is "Durkh-key" (from the eternal) Bani. No copyright operated during the Guru's time and none will operate in future. As Sikhs, it is our duty to spread the message of Gurbani – In the same fashion, our work in promoting the Guru's message should not be copyright. If someone creates a panga, we will deal with it and expose them for the Manmukh that they are. A Sikh has to stay "Nee-ara" (Pure; unblemished) so let us not engage in Manmaat in the arena of Sikhi and let us not "do 'beepran-key reet' " (mimic the habits of other)
However, I will ask everyone to acknowledge the source wherever possible as this is how our Guru's behaved. Our Guru's used the work of Bhagat Kabir and many others but it was acknowledged and so we should do the same. However, the original author should be very happy that his or her work is being spread freely to all the world.
So Gurmukho, lets not be narrow-minded and let us add as much as possible to SikhiWiki – If you can add as many articles as other prominent contributors, please do so. It would make me a very happy man! Just acknowledge the source – There is no problem – But please only choose the best articles! It would be preferred if you wikified the article but if not, it can be left to other to do so later on. Also, I would prefer articles relating to Sikhi as that is our mission.
Please be in Chardikala – we are not engaged in a personal mission here – it is our Guru's message – please join in spread this ambrosial nectar so that the whole world can be saved! Thanks for alerting me – I will think about what you have said and discuss it with others.
I don't understand what you said about Gurumustuk Singh? He is not a regular contributor to the site as he had other very important functions to perform elsewhere. He however, is in-charge of the servers and the basic software setup and he manages that free-of-charge to SikhiWiki. SikhiWiki does not pay him a salary – so that is Nishkam Sewa to SikhiWiki. However, like all of us, he also does his Kirat-kami working for other Sikhi organisation and rightly, he is paid (too low, in my opinion) for this very precious work. Please, sit down and with a calm mind look at the overall picture.
You talk about "watching carefully other Sikhism sites" and about Gurumustuk Singh – but it does not make any sense – What do you mean? Please explain.
I am sorry you could not go to Harimandir Sahib – I remember the time I visited Darbar Sahib some 4 years ago –the time stood still for the whole day – it was a blissful occasion. May Waheguru bless you in future so that you can visit our most popular shrine. Keep in chardikala and in positive frame of mind – Always remember our long term mission in life – Blessed are those who tread on the footpath of our Gurus. ** personal remarks not welcomed **
Khalsa Ji,
Please note that SikhiWiki does not welcome personal remarks against other users - especially when these are posted on the talk pages of other fellow Users – This amount to back-biting which is a very anti-Sikh practice. You have brought the matter to my notice and I have replied to you. I will appreciate if you will now devote your energy on productive input to this project. The Guru tells us, "Throughout the four generations of the Gurus, from the beginning of time and throughout the ages, no one has ever found the Lord by back-biting and undermining. Only by serving the Lord with love, is one emancipated.." (p733). --Hari Singh 19:03, 13 February 2007 (MST)
The Guru's Gifts have no limits
Copyright: When Guru ji wrote Gurbani - he did not say this is mine - do not copy it! He said copy it, say it and spread it at all times; it was a gift from God.
As Sikhs we are also all bound by the Guru to spreading that same message of the Guru. Gurbani had no copyright in the beginning and it should not have any copyright now - including photos associated with Sikhi; even the history or the philosophy. The main point is to spread the noble message.
Copyright is an invention of the west - to restrict knowledge; and to bind people and to increase friction and divide the people. As Sikhs, we cannot in our panthic role adhere to that philosophy. Yes, if it is to do with work and commercial ventures, that would be different. But our role here is to offer and give free education to all - surely in this free and open environment there is no room for these hideous restrictive practices. We are only interested in our Guru's mission - nothing else.
Donations: To maintain servers; to make sure we have a link to the internet infra-structure; to buy equipment; to maintain computers; to upgrade the software & hardware; to have 24hour operators - all require funds to function. So some form of funding is required - Donations are voluntary and no one is compelled to be a donor. If you like this site and support the idea, make a donation otherwise spent it on yourself! No force is used and there is no restriction on the users; donors are not given priority or preference. It is like the Golak in the Gurdwara in some respects - It is fund for the Guru's mission.
Next move: Let us work together on making this site a - number one resource for Sikhi information. If people of the world can get information about our Guru's, isn't that a great position to be in? If we can teach the world about how great our Guru is - Isn't that a good thing! Lets join forces and move forward rather than be undecided and bay-mukhs and scramble among ourselves - let's be Gurmukh and have our face pointing towards Gurmat and our Guru! Kind regards, keep in chardikala, Hari Singh 20:47, 13 February 2007 (MST)
Dear Paapiji Best of my Wishes
“....you are the true khalsa....”
HEARTY THANKS’’’ Sir. Sacrifice to you for having said those kind words I am no way worthy of.
“....cults like...”
- As per SatGurBani & Sikh Culture They are all part of FALSEHOOD
- Khalsa the Sikh Faternity is morally duty bound to fight these anti SatGurBani forces.
“....I want to write....”
- It will be pleasure to read your work & comment upon as feed back.. Do let me know more about yourself, your skills & future plans.
- As on now I am stuck with the problem of becoming a TRUTHFULL Human being.
- As per SatGurBani, it requires a human being to climb 38 Steps.
- So far I have been able to walk only 4 steps . How about walking together ! * I seem to be all alone & the only one on this track like a mad man.
“Today lok sharaab, nashey nahin chadade t nave sects and cults janam lai lainde Sects & Cults.”
- Look forward to Ideas & proposals as to what to do ? How to Do ? where to do ? When to do ? etc.
- That is what Sikhism is all about.
- Do share your mind with people who care. I do.
- All those who call themselves Sikhs must respond & join hands to work on a joint action plan.
- Sikh web sites do not really seem to caring much for this serious issue.
- They can jointly seek volunteers & co ordinate their work followed by publication of achievements in quantified & objective terms on internet in a fair & transparent manner.
“What do you think of radhasoamis and how they are related with sikhism........ “
- There is only ONE defination of a SIKH..
- Sikhism is not just another religion, neither is it a sect.
- It is the Faternity of Dare Devils who Learn, Follw, speak, write, sing & Teach universal SatGurBani Language to their near & dear Ones .
- SatGurBani is GOD’s language, Imortal language of HUMANITY.
- SatGurBani, for a sikh is GOD, GURU, Relatives & universe in ONE .
“Tusee naam lita hoya aa koi???”
- ‘NAAM’ is is a term from SatGurBani Language meaning 'TRUTH' or 'TRUE IDEA' or second name of SatGurBani itself depending upon the context.
- 'Naam lyna’ refers to learning SatGurBani]Language through self study.
- Like any languaage SatGurBani can be learnt through repeatedly speaking, reading , writing & understanding.
- To begin with best is to listen to Recorded SatGurBani .
- Being from a Sikh family & belonging to Khalsa culture , I love SatGurBani & look forward to more people sharing the bliss.
- Aim of my writing on SikhiWiki is to share it with HUMANITY & learn futher.
- As per SatGurBani Learning of GurBani is only holy activity. Learning SatGurBani is learning about oneself where TRUTH god lives.
".....Well you answers very late i dont know why....."
- Beg your pardon Sir!
- Being a Sikh, I am
- a
- TRUTH crafter using TRUTHs as raw material.
- creative,
- gainfully employed & busy.
- Dare Devil,
- fearless,
- friend of even foes,
- NOT Punctual,
- No ONE likes me,
- I am on way to my journy to meet 'TRUTH god' 34 Steps more.
"....very late i dont know why........"
- lot of unwanted people keep troubling me through the day here. At times All by hard work goes down the drain. I do not question the WILL of TRUTH god because SatGurBani dictates so.
- As per the SatGurBani dictates I am expected to be attending to them all even at the cost of my life.
A crafter of TRUE Ideas through TRUTHs.User:Mutia 15 Feb 07
Understanding "Roman Punjbi" is not easy!
- 1. You asked: Radhasoamis had made their sacred text book from gurbani what do u think about that?? I am sorry, but I am not aware of their work. However, it's paramount that one follows Gurmat before he tries to extend or Gurbani.
- 2. I think hptlucky boora man gaya aaya hee - hah - taa kaar-da-vee key? Aph-ji nay oo-na-day teer maara nay. Contact number hai-nee, parh email taa hah. Sent an email! jay aap nay gaal kar-nee hah.

- 4 ECRL article vee eka paste & copy haa - 90% - paar, many people gain from it.
- 5 A lot of work needs to be done on SikhiWiki - Various important Ragis are missing for starters see and I will try and get a list of other article that we need.

You have alerted me to a dispute on several pages - Please do not change any of these pages. Add your points to the discussion page of the article and I will review the dicussion page every other day and take appropriate action. The action will be based only on Gurmat only - message of Gurbani - No other source will carry the same weight. All these articles will be reverted back to their original state.
Please don't consider this a final action in this dispute but just the starting point. You may have a very valid point but as this has been disputed, the change can only be allowed after discussion - if it is argued properly based on Gurbani and the priciples of Sikhism.
I will setup ground rules in the next few days. Please be calm and I assure you that justice will be unheld in the end. Thank you. --Hari Singh 01:44, 17 February 2007 (MST)
- I am out of time now - but please - no changes until I have seen what is going on --Hari Singh 01:46, 17 February 2007 (MST)
Disputed Articles have been merged
Khalsa ji, WKWF, SSA:
I have merged the disputed articles - please let me have your comments on these article's discussion page. As you said, we need to provide information about all of the historical events that affect Sikhi - even if they are anti-Sikh so that the world and Sikh communities are aware of this history and the views held by various parties in these conflicts. So I agree with you on that point - But we need to be careful to respect Gurmat and the Gurus. We need to improve these articles without excessive conflict in our approach.
If you still do not agree with these articles that are disputed, please list all the views that you wish to make and support these with sources (if possible) or state why these are anti-Gurmat and I will endeavour to make changes to the article.
I hope under the circumstances, you will consider this a fair approach to solvong the problem. Again, many thanks for your deep concern about the neutrality of SikhiWiki and respect for the principles of the Guru's honour and message. Keep in chardikala, Hari Singh 05:59, 18 February 2007 (MST)
Why are you interested in personality of others?
Khalsa Ji,
It surprises me that you want to know about others rather than get on with useful contributions to SikhiWiki.
This mission of SikhiWiki is to promote Sikhism - "Let's build something new and beautiful that is of use to everyone to understand the Sikh Way of Life and what it means in today's world." - That is our mission statement!!
So, please I have tried to help you with a list of contributors, etc but all you appear to be doing is attacking other users - this is not acceptable. So I hope that the reason you ask these questions is more innocent than your previous request!
Gurumustuk Singh is available on email: gmustuk@sikhnet.com. No, he is not a Christian turned Sikh. His parents were Sikhs and I have met him and I believe that he is a very good Sikh. Read about him here. I believe that Gurumustuk - means "Guru's thought in your mind" as "mustuk" means forehead
Read about me on my user page. Yes, I took Amrit in about 1973 at Gurdwara, Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Barking. No picture just in case some screens shatter due to the ugliness! Apart from Khanda-de-phul, I believe in no others; so, I have not taken other "Naam" - Yes, I wish to be pure Khalsa only!
I hope that will satisfy your curiosity and we can now get on with the mission in hand. --Hari Singh 11:08, 18 February 2007 (MST)
- I am sorry if I sounded rude - It was not intentional. May be due to the various conflict that we have had on several pages, I am behind with my other duties on SikhiWiki. I should have updated the mainpage yesterday but due to these other matters, I have not been able to do so. It must be the pressure to keep to deadline!
It is a great pleasure when we can work together and further the great message of our Gurus and I am delighted that you want to meet Gurumustuk Singh. I am sure your find him a very likeable person. No, his parents have been Sikhs for a very long time. Remember that most of our ancestors were not Sikhs - So just because our parents are Sikhs, has little relevancy. What matters is what have you done in your life to shine the light of Sikhi? Have we treaded on the true path or not?
Good luck with your email - I am sure he will reply if you write to him. kind regards, Hari Singh 01:34, 19 February 2007 (MST)

Naamdhari article
I noticed a recent post about a book by Namdharis. SikhiWiki is meant to be more of an encyclopedia and as such all information should be as neutral as possible. SikhiWiki is not a place to judge others. If there is an important issue then both sides should be represented so that it is unbiased and neutral. The point is to allow the reader to come to their own conclusion and decide for themself. See the guidelines for your reference.
Thank you for your understanding. --WikiSysop 11:49, 19 February 2007 (MST)

I think this has been done by User:Hpt lucky. Just goto Sikhism Wallpapers; select the correct category; then edit the name of the wallpaper to the correct article page. I hope this helps, Hari Singh 10:14, 21 February 2007 (MST)
Race on SikhiWiki?
Interesting competition! I don't have an easy way of getting the number of articles for each of you immediately BUT, I am working on finding a solution - I may have to count the articles by hand! Leave it with me, I will try and get you the numbers!
I would like to be impartial and watch from the sidelines - its more comfortable! May the best person win! --Hari Singh 14:56, 22 February 2007 (MST)

I join with you in wishing "SikhiWiki the best of luck for a great future" and yes I agree "Jo bar chahon sau tum tae paaon" - only Waheguru can grant all our wishes. May this project provide the pure message of our Gurus to the whole world. --Hari Singh 17:23, 25 February 2007 (MST)

I have done a rough count of User contribution in the number of edits, articles, image updates as displayes here and the results are:
All results are to the +/- 100??.
- Paapi Ji => 770 entries
- Harpreet Singh => 1500 entries
- Akashdeep Singh => 90
- Guglani => 390
- Amita Singh => 4500
- Navroop Singh - Was a Major Contributions (Mar 2005 to Feb 2006) =>1180

Remember, though that I have been with SikhiWiki from 2005 - that's a long time - hence the 9350 count - But I think both yourself and Harpreet have done an excellent job considering that you have only joined us recently - So congratulations to both of you. Also, I think that your contributions have been new articles and this is very useful to our readers. --Hari Singh 04:08, 2 March 2007 (MST)
Lots of settings need to be done!
Haah Ji,
I agree, we need to improve in all these areas of categorization, redirection, spellings, etc and I am sure in time, with Waheguru's mahar, these will all be done.
As you also have exams, you must concentrate on them first and then when you have finished, you can carry on with SikhiWiki - Please make sure you get the best result and with Waheguru bakshish, I am sure that will happen.
You have don't an outstanding job in the last few weeks and I am most grateful to you and other contributors. May Waheguru bless you for your wonderful effort and dedication. Many thanks so far. And don't worry, I will keep track of all the entries. Good luck with your exams!, Hari Singh 09:16, 4 March 2007 (MST)
We don't need Vandals here!
Khalsa Ji,
I have reverted the article on Ramsar and deleted and blocked the Users and the articles Arsenal and Chelsea. Thanks for watching the entries on the site. Hopefully, they cannot put more such filth on the site. Please continue to be vigilant. Thanks for changing back the articles Delhi, Punjab and Languages pages. --Hari Singh 17:05, 5 March 2007 (MST)

Deleted Articles
Khalsa ji,
I hope the post on the deleted article was OK and complete. As you have said most article don't appear to have any copyright issues with Sarbloh. Anyway, I think we should check again and then reinstate these one by one after check with Google and also on the Sarbloh site. Obviously, Teja is a little funny and does not have a Sikhi spirit. What he is on the outside is not the same on the inside!
Some of the terms are so peculiar that we should leave those out. We only need the important and currect terms that are worthy of this site. You need to tell Lucky to continue his contributions after his exams. If we need to use material from other sites, just email the site. If you need to use a template for the email please see the end of the article here.
SikhiWiki dee competition chalree hah – I thought that had finished when Happy-Lucky retire hoo gayh! Anyway, if you want to carry on, then I will count the articles again once both your exams are done.
Haal chall thek-hee ha. Waheguru dee kirpa naal. As the summer is coming life is getting busy with many programs, family dos, kirtan, birthday parties, other parties, weddings parties, invites to Anand Karajs, etc, etc. So Khalsa ji, life thoree busy ho reaee hah. Sikhi
Khalsa ji,
Sikhi ta Hinduism doh alag raha haan - they are two seperate routes. You are right the area of Sikhism is vast. Pavah Sikhi 1469 start hoee, paar eesh dee reach has gone in every direction and back into very old history. The Guru's have touched on all the different topics in the worlds - science, cosmology, Vedas, Koran, Bible, etc, etc.
Jhee da kaan-da'na "Rome was not built in a day" - appa a site ek din wich nahee tahaar kaar laan-nee.
Panja sahib de sakhi ha - look at: Guru Nanak and Wali Qandhari - aha topics nu seach kaar na pavah ga - If you search for "throws rock" - this comes up. Anyway - I agree with you, we have a lot of work to do.
I am getting the new figures for the cometition - I will try and count them in the next few days. Hari Singh 09:09, 30 April 2007 (EDT)

Your message
Thanks for message - Lucky pee'cha rahgaya. I am sure he will catch up soon. Amita ji ta bhotta gagah chal gayaa. It will be difficult - has been posting for long time! Let us see what happens.
Citation da mahna - proof on internet. Sometimes the dates appear wrong - like I was refering to an article on Hasan Abdal yesterday taa, ootha ek date see Wali Qandhari laahee which was 1406 to 1416. This to me was not correct. How can someone who was an adult live from 1406 to 1416 - so I changed it to 1406 - 1516. Again this does not sound right - so I put the template fact next to it to question this date as I have doubt about it. At the monment, I can find any other date so I an hoping someone will be able to get the right date. Wali Qandhari is a revered saint in Pakistan. So may be we will get the date.
About the articles on Bahadur Khan and Aashish Khan, as they appear to the best in the world, we will let them stand but I will put a message to User:Playthetruth that the person must have some connection to Sikhi. Thanks for pointing that out. --Hari Singh 08:16, 1 May 2007 (EDT)

Pictures
Khalsa Ji,
Guru Hargobind template is done. square brackets out of balance hoea see. Picture baara delicate gal hae. Jaa taa pura Sikhi waal da'khea ta pictures should not be allowed. Phar jay history wala da'khea ta pictures have always existed. I think we can't be too strict because everyones mind operates in "graphics mode". Oh kanda na "a picture is worth a thousand words" - So we have to accept pictures but we should realise that it is only symbolic and "no matha-taking" - that is definitely anti-sikhi. If you don't like a picture, move it further down the page or make it small and put your preference at the top, if it helps. Paar, everywhere you find pictures. train wich janda - ta pictures; tv is all pictures; driving the car - you see picture - so unfortunately picture ta saday naal e raan-geea. they will only go when we go! No, please don't look at it like that. Thanks for the comment - The Newsfeed, which is usually below the Hukamnama has gone faulty - So I had to change the layout to fill in the gap in the left-hand column. Do you prefer the Mainpage without the News feed?

Thanks for the praise. das Hari Singh 10:55, 23 May 2007 (EDT)

syllabus not finished
Khalsa ji,
That is a very good question but the answer is simple. The lessons in this course called Sikhi had not all been completed. A few important issues were still outstanding and were part of the syllabus and had to be included to completed to get a full understanding of the subject matter - some important matters were outstanding. How to become a martyr for personal reason or panthic reason was taught by Guru Arjan Dev but how to lay down your life for others had not been tackled yet. Guru Teg Bahadur taught the Sikhs this lesson - Many other lessons loomed and had to be covered to give the students a good understanding of life and morality - How to live a disciplined life as a Khalsa? When to fight and go to war? How to fight and when fighting how to be bold and without fear?, etc this was taught by Guru Gobind Singh. Only once all the syllabus had been covered, Sri Guru Granth Sahib was installed as Guru. Hope this helps. das, Hari Singh 18:24, 19 June 2007 (EDT)

Dear dedicated contributor, Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh
You will happy to know and to celebrate this important milestone in SikhiWiki history. With thanks to all contributors like you, today we have passed the 3000 article mark.
I would like to thank you and all the other dedicated contributors who have made a Nishkam commitment to the Guru's cause and helped Sikhism by contributing to build this wonderful and useful database of the Guru's message to the world.
Please feel proud that in this period of Kaljug, you have had the blessing of the Guru to carry out this difficult but important task despite all the hurdles and pain.
Thank you for all your efforts and for staying focused on this highly honourable and righteous assignment against the normal worldly trend. You have chosen to spend time in the service of the Guru and may the Guru continue to bless you and may all your dreams and aspirations come true; May Waheguru continue to shelter you and cast His forgiving hand upon your head. Thank you again. das, Hari Singh 07:26, 30 July 2007 (EDT)

Category:Gurdwara?
The word Gurdwara or Gurudwara are two options - We have to at some stage possibly set a preference - I will merge the two. I will scan the category:Articles under Deletion. We will also consolidate some of the categories at some stage - These are issues which we will have to address properly at a later stage. With only 3000 articles, it is not a big problem. Gussa kis layee? there is no gussa at all! - Your motivation is to improve SikhiWiki so I have no problem with your suggestions. Many thanks for your help - das, Hari Singh 11:42, 31 July 2007 (EDT)

Rehras sahib
Khalsa ji, Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh
Many thanks for the message - Yes this series looks great - I will have a go at this tomorrow and try and add the audio to the pages. You will need to improve the layout of pages 3 onward to be like pages 1 and 2. Ok, Khalsa ji, I will work on this urgently. Gurmat life is excellent thanks to Waheguru and Gurmukh Sangat like you and other Gursikhs engaged in Guru-ki-sewa and Guru-ka-simran. Thanks for the good work. Always keep in chardikala, das Hari Singh 12:34, 8 August 2007 (EDT)
- I think this series is almost complete but while doing the audio, I noticed the following:
- Page 3 & 4 format needs to be changed.
- On page 6 - Chaupai Sahib - end of this bani is missing - I think it is just the savyeea & dohara
- On page 7 - short Anand sahib or 6 pauri anand sahib - this should be pauri 1 to 5 and then end with pauri 40, which is missing. So Only pauri 40 needs to added.
- If you cannot find these sections then I will do this tomorrow. Thanks a lot - It looks really good - well done. regards, das Hari Singh 20:35, 8 August 2007 (EDT)
- But the anand sahib in Rehras Sahib has to be 6 pauris not five - see [1] and the additional Pauri after the 5th pauri of anand sahib. Please check the text starting with : ਅਨਦੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਹੋ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰੇ ॥ Same with chaupai sahib, I think 2 shabads are missing. Thanks. das, Hari Singh 10:32, 9 August 2007 (EDT)
- OK! Hari Singh 08:22, 11 August 2007 (EDT)
- Hi Khalsa ji, I have added the 40th pauri to page 7 - I hope its OK. das, Hari Singh 14:43, 12 August 2007 (EDT)

Khalsa ji, Haal ta vade-ya hah, Malik dee kirpa hah. Aap ji da haal kha-sa hah?
I was just looking at this article which looks quite good but may be the English needs to be modernised a little bit. Never the less, it's a nice article and deals with an interesting history in connection with our Gurus. I will try and change this soon and then create an AOW.
How are things with you? I hope everything is well. Malik kirpa kaaran. Regards, das, Hari Singh 02:04, 5 September 2007 (EDT)
Welcome back!
Khalsa ji, Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh
It nice to see your "call sign" - "Paapi" on the Recent changes list. With Guru's bakshish, I am fine and things are keeping well. I hope you and your family are all keeping well and are in good spirits.
Yes. I agree you need to concentrate on your studies as without good qualifications you will find great difficulties in getting employment. I hope you do well in your exams. The Guru will help you - you have been doing His service and I am sure He will do you service as well. Good luck in the exams. I will do bantee and ardas to Waheguru.
It was sad to learn of Bee-jee's daa-hant (passing away). I am sure she will be in a comfortable place. Having done such good in her life, Waheguru will give her every help. She must have been an amazing person. It good to learn that you were with the family through all the formalities of the funeral and gave your support to them.
I am coming to Punjab in December - I hope to see you then. Lucky has the details. May the Guru assist you and may you get the best results in your studies - Waheguru mahar karan tah hath sirh ta rakahn. das, Hari Singh 18:16, 22 September 2007 (EDT)

Mutia aka Amita Singh blocked?????
Khalsa Ji
- Why bring all this gussa to the mind? Cool down - thandaa ho jaao - Mutia ji da id aasee off nahee keeta. She is still a "live account" on SikhiWiki. I don't understand how the account can be blocked Mainu mail kar kar mera inbox bhari jandey. - Why is she overflowing your inbox! I cannot understand this! Her other account User:1 has been used recently - So why not the original account? - Usnu kaho ka new account kholaan called mutia001 - that should solve the problem, I hope.
- Guru Angad - I have checked this article and it looks fine to me.
- Questions on Sikhism - Eha does not suit a Sikh encyclopaedia site - we are here to give general information about Sikhi. With due respect, I think that answering specific personal questions should be left to Sikh forums. Yes, if they are general questions, we should form articles to address these issues. But, if you think there will be a need for this facility, I don't mind experimenting to help fellow Sikhs!
- Ik poetry in SGS.. Ees message dee koee samag nahee paee - please write this section again
Many thanks for your help and observations. das, Hari Singh 14:07, 30 September 2007 (EDT)

I have changed the severity of the block so that it does not influence the ip address. I hope this solves the problem that you have had. Let me know if you have any problems - my email is gbsikh@gmail.com. Many thanks, das Hari Singh 17:20, 4 October 2007 (EDT)
thanks for the info paapi, you are a long way from full of 'paapi' as you say in your talk page, your articles have taught me much. I always enjoy reading them as I come across them . Your parents have much to be proud of. again thanks for the response. yesterday i suggested a topic for you - 'being true to his salt here in america we have a saying 'worth ones salt' intrested to see if the history of the phrase is similar. Here its an arcane phrase which, (as you probably know means old or of esoteric religious nature). The definition gives me a a little laugh as in Sanskrit arcana means worship. I'm researching a book i hope to write as I think the british raj only returned back to india the newer versions of the same words that had left Bharat eons ago. Gods blessings or 'bakshish'? if that's correct,to you, Allenwalla 13:54, 12 October 2007 (EDT)

SSA,
Sardar ji, Good to see you back, thanks for tht mention of Pearls of the Ocean. Doesn't seem to be out yet. I guess using an Amritdhari Sardar just wouldn't work. the picture of the lead actors , the male lead with only the director in Turban gave me the thought. thanks for returningAllenwalla 23:04, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Sat Sri Akal, merah pyarah bhai sahib, Jarnail Singh ji,
It was most pleasing to receive your message after a long period without your darshan. My sincere hope is that all is well with your good self and your respected dear family. Thank you for uploading the beautiful message regarding the God given kesh. I wish you will allow me to do some editing on the image and add English translation. Thereafter, I will post this as a featured photo.
Please continue to help us make this site a "Guuldasta" of flowers to the Guru - "Bouquet of flowers" for the wonderful message of the great Gurus.

Bhai sahib ji,
I have restored this article to its previous form as it forms a part of a series and you had removed content without giving any reason. I have left most of your additions in the article. Please only remove content which is incorrect and then by consent and agreement. If you want to add new content then that is fine. Many thanks, das Hari Singhtalk 18:39, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
