The template has 5 variables:

• Variable 1: Page number for Srigranth.org (611 for this example)
• Variable 2: Line number again for Srigranth.org (26631 for this example)
• Variable 3: Page number for darpan site in format xxxx where x is a digit 0 to 9 (is actually 0612 as the Shabad starts at the very bottom of Ang 611)
• Variable 4: Date (for the example is October12, 2006)
• Variable 5: Actual Hukamnama in unicode Gurmukhi format (example starts Sorath Mahala 5 ghar 2 chaupda in Gurmukhi)

• The Page Number is from Srigranth.org site and as per the Ang in Guru Sahib. To get the Line Number, you with need to do a search of the Shabad on the Srigranth site.

• Finding Line Number at Srigranth Site

Say we need to find the Shabad: ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਿਮਰਹ੝ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ, we search at Srigranth.org in Gurmukhi unicode format (if you don't have unicode format use GUCA converter) and that produces - ਪੰਨਾ 295, ਸਤਰ 4 - clicking this gives the page with the Shabad and the following address at the top: http://www.srigranth.org/servlet/gurbani.gurbani?Action=Page&Param=295&punjabi=t&id=13536#l13536 the number 13536 gives the required line number.

• The rest of the variables from darpan page onwards are straight forward.
