Thank you for putting this page on Sikhiwiki their is much history i would not have otherwise ever seenAllenwalla 22:40, 12 December 2007 (MST) interesting to be put in the shoes of someone who has lost his only officer who knows his language or customs. The gasmasks which must have been especialy made to cover turbans are interesting. i guess we will never know if anyone objected to wearing them or if the turban was as sensitive an issue then. That Sikhs have always gone into battles sans Helmets in wwi and wwii is well known. Today i see that special laws have been passed in UK to exempt Sikhs from having to wear helmets on construction sites or motorcycles.

were there ever in the days of the Khalsa when iron helmets at least partial were added or used as part of a turban before the 5 K's of Guru Gobind Singh.Allenwalla 22:40, 12 December 2007 (MST)

Map used here for the british forces must be from another older article

Noticed on looking at article one more time that the 13 American Colonies are included although Florida and new orleans/Luisiana were not ever part of the british empire.

All of the USA could be included as allies however.Allenwalla 22:47, 12 December 2007 (MST)

Chakar and other armoury was used

Various types of protective devices were used before and after 1699. The Chakar - which is like a large Kara was worn in the turban as protection against the sword. I am sure that metal protection of other kind must also have been worn but probably with the turban intact. Hari Singh 20:22, 13 December 2007 (MST)
