Who listens to Ashutosh

This page has some problems --one below as sentence is repeated.

Followers of the controversial at Noormahal run by Ashutosh Maharaj have had several serious run-ins with Sikh groups who object to the 'samagams' held by the dera all over Punjab, where besides projecting himself as a reincarnation of the Sikh gurus, Ashutosh is allegedly also critical of mainstream Sikhism.

Ashutosh is critical of mainstream Sikhism.

Reading the page it seems that Prof Darshan Singh, refers to the Jathedars of the takhats as head priests (a term used with the ancient egyptian religion) (most of the pages here refer to Sikhi having no preachers or head priests.)

He also says, "their grip over the people has loosened". Do these so called priests keep a grip on the devotees? The Gurus never worried about having a 'grip' on the people--no one was forced to follow sikhi by one's grip.

It seems that suckers are born every minute and it doesn't take long for charlatans to separate them from their hard earned money. Who is going to say they did not see the 'light' and risk burning in 'hell'. Reminds me of how the buddhist 'priests' (monks) gave out chits to guarantee one's place in heaven, which morphed into the Hell Money of the Chinese of today [1]. The same chits (indulgences) allowed the pope and the high priests to indulge in all sorts of behavior, causing the 'reformation and protestant rebellion. (Ah could Ahmadinejad be the new Shah--trying to keep a 'grip' on the revolution)? And what of the young kids the taleban are getting to blow themselves and others up for a promised 72 virgins, one of whom blew up Dr Sarfaraz Naeemi just the other day as he had declared such acts Haraam!

No Sikh who understands the teachings of the Gurus would ever fall for this, would they? No priest ever has to keep a grip on Gursikhs. Allenwalla 04:21, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
