Human Worship
Human Worship is condemned in Sikhism.
Why Human Can't be Worshipped?
Human can be admired but can't be worshiped in Sikhism.
About Human in Gurbani is:
- Human is an Organism produced by God, with excellent mind and high level of intellect, which he could use for Gurbani Vichar and contemplate on it. No Other Specie is provided with such a mind which could do Gurbani Vichar. Human controls all species through his Mind. Only Human mind can understand Gurbani and attain spiritual wisdom to receive Lord's Command. For this reason Human Joni(Specie) is the last Step to understand God.
ਭਈ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਮਾਨਖ ਦੇਹਰੀਆ ॥
This human body has been given to you.
ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਮਿਲਣ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਰੀਆ ॥
This is your chance to meet the Lord of the Universe. - Soul resides in Human Body which means Soul is presently(Jooni), but god is Ajooni(No Birth). Sikhs are supposed to worship one who is ajooni but not temporal people, who born and Die.
ਅੰਡਜ ਜੇਰਜ ਉਤਭਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜੰਤਾ ॥
The beings born of eggs, born of the womb, born of the earth and born of sweat, all are created by You.
The ""one"" who created is creator.
Worshiping Creation is like stick to table made by carpenter, thinking it as Carpenter.
Do Sikhs Worship Gurus?
Neither Gurus not Bhagats are to be worshiped.
Sikhs observe them due to their intellect and wisdom with which they reach god and even told the way of God through their writings and even preached and discussed with people during their life time. They put their whole efforts to stand on truth and to bring truth before people and spoke openly against Fake rituals and Practices followed by different religions. They do not care of any ranks(eg. Kings, scholars, ministers), anyone's emotions(eg. if spoken against idol worship then hindus heart will break), own's safety(eg. oh i will got killed if i will say that Krishna is not body but Mind), while speaking truth. Their way was Nirala and so were they.
Gurus and other Devotees are regarded as messengers who themselves walk on the path. They got Command of God, because of this reason they preached this Path. They were Followers first then Preachers.
