Who Is BOSS?

The British Organisation of Sikh Students (BOSS) is a body of Sikh students, ex-students and concerned individuals involved in the administration and organisation of various activities for Sikh Societies, Youth groups in universities, colleges and Gurudwaras all around Britain. Top

Mission Statement

The British Organisation of Sikh Students is a non-political, non-profit making, independent body which acts as an umbrella organisation helping to develop, assist and support Sikh youth groups. In particular those aged 18-30, of whom a significant proportion are at institutions of further and higher education; this in no way excludes those under or over that age. Top

Aims and Objectives

To organise and assist individual members in setting up local groups/societies by providing information, materials and resources, and literature for distribution.

To develop packages, resources and literature which are targeted at members, of suitable content and of proficient quality ...

B.O.S.S. recognises the freedom of local groups to exist and establish their individual characteristics in name, structure and activities in accordance with Sikh doctrine.

Co-ordinate and network national Sikh society/local group activity through conferences and tournaments such as :

  • Sikhi weeks – a whole week is devoted to discussions and debates and tournaments etc.. in different universities across the country.
  • Kirtan Darbar’s all over the country and at different universities and colleges
  • Sikhi Camps - National Camp aimed the 16 + age group.
