Setaj (ਸੇਤਜ s ) is a Gurmukhi word used in the Guru Granth Sahib that refers to the form of birth which is from bodily secretion, involves heat or "Sweat" - ਪਸੀਨੇ/ਮ੝ੜਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਝ ਜੀਵ (ਜੂਆਂ ਆਦਿਕ). Setaj is normally found with 3 other Gurmukhi words which together explain the Four forms of birth recognised by the Sikh faith. The others are: Andaj (ਅੰਡਜ); Jeraj or (ਜੇਰਜ) and Utbhuj or (ਉਤਭ੝ਜ).

ਅੰਡਜ ਜੇਰਜ ਉਤਭ੝ਜਾਂ ਖਾਣੀ ਸੇਤਜਾਂਹ ॥
Andaj jeraj uṯ▫bẖujĝʼn kẖĝṇī seṯjĝʼnh.
the four sources of creation - born of eggs, born of the womb, born of the earth and born of sweat;
